13. M270 MLRS
The M270 Multiple Launch Rocket System, produced by Lockheed Martin, entered service in 1983 at about $4 million. Delivered first to the U.S. Army, it became a favored NATO asset for interoperability and firepower.
It offers a maximum firing reach near 186 miles with appropriate munitions.

The M270’s 300 mile travel range increases operational repositioning ability. Optimal engagement zones often fall within twenty miles for certain rocket types.
Built for rapid saturation fire, it can release twelve rockets in forty seconds or two larger missiles in ten seconds, providing swift support.
